A Deep Dive into Fermentation Innovation and Regulatory Challenges
Following a tumultuous year for the alternative protein industry in 2023, European governments committed to more than €400 million of funding to feed the future sustainably, revitalising hopes for formalised regulatory approval processes for fermentation technologies.
The agenda for this year’s summit is packed with sessions that cater to the diverse needs of the alternative proteins community. Topics range from technical advancements in strain development and fermentation processes to commercial strategies and regulatory insights that are critical for navigating global markets.
The summit will feature 30+ expert speakers who will share their experience in fermentation and provide insights on the dos and don'ts of alternative protein fermentation. The focus is on the technical implications for the production of novel foods, including strain development and synthetic biology technologies, scale-up planning and execution of case studies, and ideal fermentation design panel discussions.
